Thanksgiving is upon us, and sharing food is a part of our culture. These days, life is incredibly tough due to COVID-19, and the McCandless family longs to spread holiday cheer. There is always something for all to be thankful for, and we want to brighten this time of the year by extending goodwill throughout the Meadville community and helping feed families who are less fortunate. McCandless Ford Meadville provides a central location to collect non-perishable food items that we will donate to our local Center For Family Services (CFS). CFS of Meadville has taken on many roles since being established in 1863 by a group of Crawford County women to aid families of Civil War soldiers who were experiencing financial crises. Formerly known as the Home Relief Society, CFS’s core mission is, “Building on our legacy of caring, the Center for Family Services exists to assist, support, and strengthen individuals and families throughout our communities.” Now until the end of November, we welcome Meadville residents and those in surrounding communities to stop by our dealership and take part in our Making Deals and Meals In Meadville donation drive. During this event, we will be stocking the bed of one of our Ford pickups with non-perishable food items such as boxed meals, pasta, pasta sauce, canned soup, fruit, and meat, cereal, peanut butter, and more approaching Thanksgiving Day.

Spreading Gratitude
