The SUV is also available in standard or extended wheelbase versions, with the latter option adding on 12 inches. It comes standard with 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, and fog lights, while upper trims have 20-inch wheels, a hands-free liftgate, and a power sunroof.
Engine
While the 2023 Ford Expedition has the same 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine under the hood, it offers different ranges of power. On the lower trims, this engine produces 380 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, while the engine found on the Limited, King Ranch, and Platinum trims gets 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. On the Timberline, it cranks out 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. All trims use a 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard on all trims except the Timberline, but all-wheel drive is available on all trims.
Performance
Gas mileage for the 2023 Ford Expedition ranges greatly, depending on the trim. Expect to get anywhere from 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. The Timberline trim is the best option if you're hoping to go off-roading since it has off-road-tuned shocks, increased ground clearance, and an electronic limited-slip differential. Interior
While the regular-length 2023 Ford Expedition has an average amount of cargo space, the extended-wheelbase version is the one you want if you're seeking plenty of room.
